ROAD RALLY
12 NOON

With its rolling hills, horseshoe curves and tree-lined passages, Switzerland County ranks as one of the most picturesque places in the Hoosier state whether it entails summer, winter, spring or fall. The popular Road Rally, sponsored by the Swiss Wine Festival, lets participants admire the bucoli beauty firsthand, plus enjoy their love of driving on back country roads. Festival officials suspect a few drivers even sing or whistle the classic John Denver lyrics "country roads take me home" along the way.

Besides maneuvering over terrain that has never welcomed or needed a stop light, the route also features stops at a petting zoo, early cemeteries, a beautiful historic mansion and an outhouse with six seats.

After the rally, the festival will award prizes to the top scoring teams. Only 50 vehicles can participate in the Saturday adventure.
